Jose Villar is the Vice President of Accounting forSkyline Equities Realty, developers of SkyPalace at Mary Brickell Village. Jose has more than 10 years experience in the real estate industry and he has been involved in all aspects of the development process, from the early pre-development and pre-construction stages, all the way through top-off, closing and post-closing. He has also extensive experience in income producing property management that includes apartment buildings, warehouses and shopping centers.
Prior to joining Skyline Equities Realty, from his early days as Controller for Intradeco, Inc., to his appointment as Assistant to the Senior Controller / Vice President of Operations for the Related Group and most recently as Property Controller for Terranova Corporation, Jose has extensive experience in cash flow management, budget presentation and financial analysis of new developments, forecast budgets and present equity and financing scenarios for new projects, monthly budget and variance analysis alerting project managers of potential problems, audited financial statements and tax returns review, and strong internal controls maintenance.
The portfolio of some of the most notable developments that Jose has been involved with throughout his Accounting career include, among others, The Beach Club in Hallandale Beach, Las Olas Beach Club in Fort Lauderdale, Ocean IV and Trump Towers in Sunny Isles Beach, Alaska in Miami Beach, One Miami and Icon Brickell in Greater Downtown Miami.
Jose has a Bachelor in Accounting and a Master in Accounting from Florida International University (FIU). He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
